The Truth About Your Existential Crisis
the deep dive into the chaos
The Era of Crisis
In the today's new era of relentless innovation—where technology is evolving faster than human comprehension. And the world is advancing towards literally a hyperintelligent superpower which has the potential to challenge the world’s most powerful species, humans—
In this ultra revolutionary era of mass innovations, the most energetic and possibly the upcoming smartest individuals of our planet, the youth, are suffering from a great pandemic of their own, a crisis of purpose, meaning, and identity which is known as, Existential Crisis—a silent killer of ambition, an invisible weight crushing your mind. It’s not just feeling lost. It’s standing at the edge of an abyss, staring into the void, and hearing nothing but your own unanswered "why?" It’s the slow decay of meaning, where even the things that once mattered begin to feel... irrelevant.
What is it? Why does this happen? And more importantly, how do you escape it?
Existential Crisis, is a feeling of 'i don't know + i don't care' at its extreme.
People of ages ranging from 15 to 25, who haven't even seen what life has to offer in its eternity, are suffering from really deep mental roadblocks because of their so-called 'overthinking', when, in reality, its just a reflection of their inability to 'think openly'.
Their overthinking isn’t the problem. It’s that their thoughts are trapped within a loop—unable to expand, unable to escape.
A kid who should be focusing on enjoying life, on living the seconds he has been granted with, is instead, worried about the inevitable countable nature of them, and his inability to live up to a full hundred percent.
But how does it work?
Chaotic yet Ordered
When a person start to talk with the depth of himself, starts feeling the internal mess , it creates a deep sense of uncertainty, and the person starts staring deep into the void of chaos.
This chaos is present because the person has never properly connected all the dots logically, which we'll be discussing further into the video.
But there is another mentality, and way of subconscious thinking which suggests that the world must be ordered, and fixed as well.
Because you are constantly following the repetitive routines imposed on your life because of the surroundings, this repetition creates a sense of certainty and order.
But the reality is far from it.
You start thinking to yourself , that "How can the world be like this—chaotic and ordered at the same time?"
This contradictory mindset and clash between order and chaos, creates a sense of neutrality and meaninglessness, which, in turn, creates, crisis.
The truth is, Humans fear uncertainty, Humans avoid chaos.
And this deeply coded mentality of a being, tells him to avoid those situations and push into a way of comfort.
They try and avoid chaos because unknown, uncertainty, makes people feel targeted, and the possibility of bad happening, increases in their head, which overall feels worse.
But in reality, that falling in comfort zone, is logically worse for him than to avoid uncertainty.
The Kosmos, has a certain property of entropy, which suggests that the universe is following the second law of thermodynamics, meaning that its entropy, in the grand scheme of things, is always increasing.
We humans, are order, which have randomly emerged from the grand disorder of universe. And we too, will be converted into disorder someday, if we do not apply external input.
To maintain order in this universe, extra input is required, extra energy needs to be spent, which induces order in disorder.
So without an external effort, without any external expenditure of energy, the order, a human, you, will collapse into disorder and randomness again.
Uncertainty — Chaos — is actually an opportunity in disguise. It's basically order which is yet to be defined. Defining that, would require a mix of stepping into the unknown, conscious observation, and curious exploration all together.
But people avoid it.
The Dot theory
The Dot theory teaches that inside a mind of a human, there's a map, containing information represented by dots.
Imagine a night sky filled to the brim with stars, some are close, others are far, some form groups, others live alone. This is the map inside the mind.
Those stars represent an individual's knowledge—the information they possess. The information points related to each other are positioned close, while unrelated ones are farther apart.
Now the thing is , information does not exist alone as standalone points, it exists in groups , forming rings, chains, nets and different random connections.
This connection, represent the ability of an individual to connect the 2 pieces of information together by some logical, emotional, or practical association—thus, making sense of a bigger picture.
Connections are the way to reduce chaos and embrace certainty and clarity.
These mental links allow an individual to transcend the mind into a higher place, away from chaos, and induces order.
Most people do not have this ability of connecting different dots in their mind.
They have never thought about things in logical chained explanations, where each link is connected with strong and sense-inducing explanations.
There's a bridge between action and information, which is traversed by connecting the dots, mentally, or in a brain dump session, until you reach your 'why'.
This long chain of thoughts break the chains of crisis.
But what is this 'why'? Why does it matter so much?
The why-ism.
As we have discussed that by applying external energy, order is induced into the unknown.
You eat to gain energy, your organs spend that energy to prevent the unavoidable decaying and death by processes like digestion, breathing, etc.
This helps in physical survival, which means maintaining the order in the kosmos's drive to disorder.
Similarly, you need to mentally spend energy , in the correct direction, in order to break free from the dread and crisis.
Lets talk about an example:
Why, the people who are once at the lowest stage of success ladder, reach the highest point of it.
And why an average living individual who's circumstances were relatively better than many— are the ones who makes it just to the 80-90 percentile?
This, happens because of one simple thing:
The people who actually were really low once, are the ones who have a bigger reason, a bigger explanation, which is deeply embedded into their brains.
They have a stronger sense of urgency, will, and reason to turn their dreams into reality.
Their "why", is greater than the long list of excuses
Greater than an average individual.
And I am not saying average in a mindset, i am saying average in upbringing, environment, and privileges.
All these factors prevent an individual from craving success in the same way as someone who never had those privileges in the first place.
So what even is the solution? How to actually find your why?
The final verdict
Sit down, take a pen, 10 pages.
Define. Define. Define.
Not just scratching the surface—but actual, in-depth definitions of the smallest details.
Goals. Mindset. Morals. Ethics. Situation. Possible ideal selves to live like.
Do this for at least 3 days—just think, think, think and dump it all.
Now, draw connections between the information.
Connect every single goal to a "why"—why do you need that one goal? Then connect that "why" to another "why"—why is that particular "why" important in the first place?
Then connect it to another why...
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Until you reach a core, in-depth reason unique to you—a reason deeply connected to who you are.
You have to strongly associate every singular task to individual why's, and next to individual why's, creating a deep why chain which is strongly linked to your core human nature, your true human self, tending towards your ideal human self, your ideal life, linked to your goals, values and principles.
And that my friend, is the way, to break out from crisis, and tend towards meaningful action.
